[MCA] is recruiting!
You can apply and join raids if you are English-speaking, but please note that everything besides the raids will primarily be in German.
Our primary focus is optimized boss kills for records on platforms like speedrun.com or GW2 Wingman. We always strive to improve our strategies, push kill-times to their limits, and showcase cool kills. Raids are always conducted in a positive atmosphere with an open mindset toward new ideas, constructive critique, and continuous improvement. You can also expect a good amount of memes and lighthearted trashtalk!
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency: Able to play at least 5 (Boon)-DPS builds at 95% of the benchmark
- Versatility: Willing to learn any new class required for a project.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of all raid bosses is a must.
Being able to play a healer is a bonus, though we rarely need them.
Raid Schedule
We use a sign-up based system, raiding whenever we have 10 players available. Common raid days include:
- Tuesday
- Wednesday
- Thursday
- Sunday
All raids occur from 20:00 to 23:00, and you should be able to join at least two of these days.
Trial Process
Before becoming a full member, all recruits go through a trial process, which is divided into two phases:
Pre-Trial
During this phase, we’ll need the following from you:
- Golem Logs: Logs for five different DPS classes achieving 95% or better, with the correct settings.
- Meet & Greet: A small introductory conversation with me and other MCA members.
- Informal Raid: A casual trial raid or joint pug session to get to know each other.
If everything goes well, you’ll proceed to the full trial phase.
Trial
- During the trial, you’ll sign up for raid days that fit your schedule. If a raid forms on one of those days, we’ll assign you a class for the respective bosses.
- Initially, these raids will focus on patch records or daily kills, and as you progress, you may be included in the regular MCA program (grinds, etc.).
- Every boss will be attempted at least twice to give you a chance to demonstrate improvement if something doesn’t go perfectly the first time.
- You may be required to learn additional classes beyond your initial five for certain raids or grinds. These requests will always come with sufficient notice, and you’ll only be included once you feel ready.
